ANIMAL AGRICULTURE, AND BIO FUELS INDUSTRIES

Rouse Marketing provides its services and products to the Rendering, Animal Agriculture and BioFuels industries which can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Our services are categorized by industry in the following sections:
RENDERING INDUSTRY SERVICES

  • FORMULA DEVELOPMENT…Provide evaluation of fat sources in order to create the most efficient feed fat formulas to meet today’s high-tech feed formulations. Assist in developing the feed fat formula that will provide the greatest amount of revenue for the operation.
  • MARKETING…Assist animal processors and renderers in the marketing and sales of their feed fat blends through the activity of customer development/service, establishing sales of product to meet current production schedules, scheduling deliveries and logistics, and communicating issues and opportunities to management as they appear. This includes market surveys, nutritional and procurement contacts, and other field efforts required to establish a complete marketing program.
  • QUALITY CONTROL…Conduct quality control activities via Rouse Marketing’s STEP ONE Program, which includes all major quality analysis including PCB and Pesticide screening plus the calculation of Metabolizable Energy for every sample. The STEP ONE Program can be tailored to meet your needs by merging it into your existing testing program at your own lab or at one of our affiliated laboratories to provide new comprehensive quality controls for all your feed fat production. STEP ONE costs are less than traditional laboratory fees, plus it provides an additional benefit by including an energy value for every shipment.

ANIMAL AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY SERVICES

  • FAT SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT…Develop feed fat procurement specifications and provide technical advice on feed fat formulas for specific animal feed requirements.
  • SOURCING...Assist Livestock Producers and Feed Manufacturers in sourcing and procuring their feed fat requirements in accordance with their established feed specifications. This includes market surveys, nutritional and rendering contacts, and other field efforts required to establish a complete procurement program.
  • ANALYSIS…Provide fat analysis and evaluation services in order to establish/maintain quality controls required by regulatory agencies overseeing feed manufacturing and animal production operations. Rouse Marketing’s STEP ONE Fat Analysis Program contains all major quality analysis including PCB and Pesticide screening as well as estimating the Metabolizable Energy for each sample. Feed fat is one of the most expensive ingredients procured as a major energy source for animal feed. As the basis for a comprehensive quality control program, it is critical that the energy value and quality of the fat purchased be analyzed and quantified for each supplier. Most programs include monitoring of some basic quality concerns such as moisture, impurities and free fatty acid, but ignore the real reason why fat is procured—that being its energy content. Rouse Marketing is able to evaluate feed fat suppliers by measuring quality and Metabolizable Energy utilizing our comprehensive STEP ONE Fat Analysis Program.

BIOFUELS INDUSTRY SERVICES

  • FEEDSTOCK SOURCING…Assist the BioFuels producer in the function of identifying, sourcing and procuring feedstock in accordance with their specifications and/or as dictated by econometric models of least-cost formulation. This includes analyzing all sources of feedstock, including soybean oil, vegetable oil, yellow grease and other animal fat, to find the most available material at the lowest cost.
  • ANALYSIS OF FEEDSTOCK…Provide feedstock analytical and evaluational services to establish and maintain quality controls required to assure identification of optimum quality feedstocks for the production process. Rouse Marketing’s STEP ONE Analytical Program contains all major quality analysis components including PCB and Pesticide screening. With profitability hinging on the cost of the feedstock, the monitoring of inbound quality is a vital element of any procurement program, particularly where certain types of feedstock may have differentiating quality. Analysis programs may include monitoring of the basic quality components of percent content of moisture, insoluble impurities, unsaponifiables, free fatty acid, and stability level.
  • CO-PRODUCT MARKETING…Provide services of marketing co-products of Glycerin from BioDiesel production and Corn Oil and other products from Ethanol production. Activity would involve customer development/service, establishing sales of product to meet current production schedules, scheduling deliveries and logistics, and communicating issues and opportunities to management as they appear.
